THE BOOK
HOPE ONE: A GUIDE TO FOSTER HOPE IN THE LOST
Hope One is a practical guide for those who desire to help the lost. It is written for ministry leaders, family members, friends, and church members who need clear, actionable guidance in supporting someone in their life.
By “lost,” I refer to individuals within our families, workplaces, or churches who are struggling—those who may battle addiction, carry visible signs of brokenness, repeatedly encounter legal trouble, or simply cannot seem to find stability or direction in life. Helping someone can make a difference, but strengthening hope in one person can be truly transformative.
The title Hope One reflects this truth: you can “help one,” offering temporary assistance, or you can “hope one”—investing in a way that brings lasting, life-changing impact. While helping one can matter in the moment, hoping one can change a life forever.
UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION
There is a significant need within the Christian community for a resource that equips individuals to cultivate hope in those who are lost. This book draws from over 35 years of personal experience—including 20 years in a destructive lifestyle and 15 years serving in ministry among the lost. I now travel nationally, speaking to individuals, organizations, and institutions, offering practical insight into how to better serve those trapped in destructive patterns
A common question I receive is: How do we reach someone who is lost and guide them toward a God-centered, productive life? Hope One is designed to address that question. It serves as a practical, experience-based resource for those who feel called to help—offering guidance, encouragement, and direction for leading others toward the hope found in Christ.
INTENDED READER
Hope One is written for ministry leaders, family members, friends, and church members who desire to support someone in their life. The “lost” refers to individuals who are struggling—those battling addiction, returning to incarceration, or simply unable to find stability and direction. It is for the person who feels distant from God and is in need of hope, and for those who feel called to walk alongside them.
